Mexico City hosted one of the biggest Pride marches in its history. The 48th annual Marcha de Orgullo on June 27, themed "Before the eyes of the world: My struggle is your struggle. Equality, peace and solidarity!", drew an estimated 800,000 to over 1 million LGBTQ+ people and allies. The march ran its traditional route from the Angel of Independence through Paseo de la Reforma to the Zócalo — and organizers had to negotiate for that final stretch this year since the Zócalo was also hosting the FIFA World Cup Fan Fest.
